I don't recall seeing the reservoir as full as this before. In this photo you can see the top of a tree, which will give you some idea of the depth of the water. Walking to the reservoir, I had to walk through a stretch of water several inches deep (my socks are now drying on the line!)
May 2011 - another walk to the reservoir. The Lake District no more - there was just a small puddle of water. In the photo above you can see the top of a tree sticking up out of the water. You can see the same tree in the photo below.
