The Express Scopelitis, the small local ferry running between Amorgos and Naxos, arriving in Naxos on a very windy day.  I've travelled on the Express Scopelitis in a very rough sea, with the waves lashing against the windows of the lounge - but perhaps not quite as rough as this.............................!

The island is Amorgos.  The "empty monastery" is Agios Paraskevi, where there are rooms used by pilgrims attending the annual festival in July.

A lamb grazing in Amorgos, near Katapola - enjoying the lush winter greenery.  Being in Amorgos in winter gives you the chance to savour the simpler pleasures of life.  But, thinking of lamb, 2savour" was perhaps not the best word to use!
