Clothes
At most of the places I stay at in Greece there is a washing line and pegs, so I pack just a few clothes and rely on the sun and wind to do the drying! I take a tube of Dylon travel wash - as it works in cold water and doesn't leave a white residue on clothes. I also take a travelling clothes line (twisted cotton covered elastic, with a hook at either end) and some pegs, in case i have a room with a balcony but no line or pegs.
The exception is Athens, and other towns or cities where you may not have a balcony.
Torch
A torch is useful - there are sometimes power cuts. Often rooms have an outside entrance door, and there may not always be a light (or a working light!) above the door. And you may have to climb outside unlit steps to reach tour door.
I take a small wind up, or "squeeze" rechargeable torch, so you don't need batteries. I find the small black torches sold by Wilkinsons very useful.
