It's a few years since I visited Kos, but I would hardly class it an an underestimated tourist destination. I only went to Kos as it was a convenient ferry junction for other places I wanted to visit - I had been put off Kos by its image as a beach and partying island. But I was pleasantly surprised by the things to see and do in Kos town.
